J.R. Roofing is owned and run by Mr Roger Woodhams and Mr Bob Forsythe. Way back in 1978 they met working on separate projects for the same contractor. After completion of the contract which was The New Found Out Public House in Stevenage Road, Hitchin, they struck up an immediate friendship. Soon after Roger and Bob formed their partnership in August 1979 as J.R. Roofing and the rest as they say “is history”.
Both men have lived and worked in North Hertfordshire all of their lives and share a passion for repairing and refurbishing older properties also many and varied buildings, shops and Churches that make up our local towns including the town centres.
They are keen Fly Fishermen, who are both actively involved with the England Youth Fly Fishing Teams but they can only get to pursue this passion when they find spare time from their busy working lives. They are also keen followers of Hitchin Town & Arlesey Town Football Teams.
The J.R. Roofing workforce is a group of dedicated well trained, experienced and committed individuals who have worked for Roger and Bob for many years. They share the same vision and mission as their employer’s providing excellent workmanship. Additionally they know how important it is to put customers at ease when working on their properties, setting up a good working dialogue that informs the client of the progress of the work and the nature of the techniques they are using.
